During their most recent parade at Kim Il-Sung Square in Pyongyang, marking the 75th anniversary of the founding of North Korea, the paramilitary force of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards unveiled a fleet of multiple rocket launchers disguised as civilian trucks.
The box trucks and dump trucks sported 12 tubes each of what appeared to be 122mm artillery rockets hidden in their cargo beds.

The crews of the dump trucks even sported yellow helmets, typical of construction workers, with their rifles.
The parade also featured a fleet of tractors towing rocket launchers and anti-tank guided missiles on trailers.
North Korea had displayed similar missile launcher towing systems in the same parade two years prior.
The tractors are a clear representation of a very real North Korean operational tactic – to use these civilian instruments for total war should conflict arise.
This heavy weaponry also underscores how North Korea’s “civil defense” has significant firepower.
The trucks also hint at a growing resurgence of old deception tactics to further conceal military equipment on the battlefield.
